In 2026, the Common Smartcard Solutions Association (Common Smartcard) is able to look back on 15 years of development and growth. This was celebrated at the annual general meeting, which took place in March in Wetzikon, Switzerland.
The association would like to take this opportunity to thank Chairman Ulrich Ludwig for his many years of dedication to the association.
The Common Smartcard association is committed to promoting standardized data structures for RFID applications. At the heart of this effort is openCashfile—an innovative card data structure that enables all project participants to work from a single, unified data basis. This creates transparency and investment security. openCashfile is used in particular in institutional food service, campus and recreational projects, and access control.
